Blog experience

I think it is a very innovative method for evaluating student progress. In most of the English classes that I have known in my life, test your knowledge only by written tests, so it’s more about repeating what is seen in class, and doesn’t allow you to associate it whit the everyday life.
Personally, I feel that my ability to write and understand have had a progressive evolution throughout the course. At first, this methodology caught my attention and I thought it would not serve anything, but every time I wrote a blog I was left with a feeling of satisfaction to be able to tell things of my interest.
For the future, I wish there were more free themes, so that I can express myself sincerely in each publication. Something that I highlight is having to comment on the blogs of my classmates, because that way an atmosphere of participation is generated, this is something that I would not change.

I would have liked to write about my favorite soccer team. I really like football, and I would like to be a sports journalist, so I think it would be useful to work in that area in the future.

My indignation

In all the blogs I read what my classmates think and what bothers them, so I have thought a lot, and one of the things that gives me the most indignation of our society are the discriminations against foreigners.
I live and have lived all my life in the commune of Quilicura, known as “the new Haití”, because the number of immigrants from that country who live there. They usually stay in populations like Parinacota and La Huelen and subsist in deplorable conditions. In most cases are a lot of families sharing a room, without drinking water and electric light.
Every Sunday you can found them in the bus stops, very well dressed to go to church. If you greet them, they respond kindly with a smile in their faces. So, when I hear someone make xenophobic comments against them, I burst into rage.
They are people like us, who have had to leave their country because of circumstances outside of them. Must come to an unknown country to seek better opportunities and found ignorant people who discriminate them for their skin color, saying that they come to steal the work.

As society, I think we have a lot to learn if we still see the foreigner as an enemy, and we don’t realize that the enemy is elsewhere.

My favourite subject

When I was at school, I was doing well in almost all subjects, specially in Language, wich was my best average. I really liked Language, just like history and philosophy, because in general I liked the humanist subjects, as opposed to sciences or mathematics. I also liked physical education, mainly because in that subject we play football at the end of the class.
But, although I had better grades on them, none of the above was my favorite. My favourite subject at school was the music. Maybe I was not the best music student, maybe I did not carry a musical instrument all the classes, but I enjoyed that subject a lot, because in it I could relax with my classmates.

When I was in third year of high school I had to decide between visual arts and music, and I did not hesitate for a second, because I’m very clumsy with the handiwork and the music teacher, Roberto Aranda, was very cool and fun, he was like a student teaching classes! That was what I liked most about that subject.

Carbon footprint

Part 1
- My carbon footprint is 2.01 tons of CO2 per year.
- For the chileans, the media is 3.87 tons.

Part 2
Ø Hand washing dishes can use up to 50 % more of water than using an efficient dishwasher.
Ø Only about 10 % of global energy comes from renewables.
Ø True or false? Appliances that are turned off don’t use any electricity. => False
Ø Can you make paper out of hemp? Yes

For me, the best tips for recycling are:
1. Clash the boxer to take them to the trash.
2. Empty the bottles and squeeze.
3. Change plastic bags for fabric bags.

The Website

https://lalegal.cl/
One of the websites that I like to visit to entertain myself is La Legal wich is a site that makes a parody to journalism, inventing funny headlines with current facts. That website serves to amuse a little the tense atmosphere that there is always in the informative journalism.
Although La Legal is mainly a humor site, it has a lot of sections like international issues, science and tecnology and sports, between others. So, maybe it isn't a serious website, but also has a lot of journalistic job behind it.
It also has a Facebook page, where everyone shares their publications. I don't visit the website very much, I'm just see their publications in Facebook, so I see them every day.
I like this site because they develop the news like a real newspaper, they worry about the newsroom and the right journalist speaking, also that the content is very funny and I laugh a lot and they publish news all the day, so everytime I can entretain myself just seeing my phone.

My favourite food

Maybe this isn't my favourite food, but is the one that I love to prepare when I arrive from university, because is very fast and easy to cook, and it's delicious too. I'm talking about the tuna and mayonnaise sandwich.
Isn't a very elaborate food, but is the best I can get when I get home. First, you must empty the water from the can of tuna and put the tuna in a pot.  Then, you can put mayonnaise to taste, I use a lot of mayonnaise, maybe that's why I'm so fat... doesn't matter.
After that, must be shaked and, if you want, you can salt it. Finally, you put the mixture between two breads and your snack is ready! The best is that the tuna of a can reaches for two sandwiches!
This is perfect for when you get exhausted after a day at the university, because you don't take more than five minutes in preparing it.
